Here are a few ad clubs. You don't have to join any to be in advertsing, but many have events that you might be interested it; many have award shows. Most of these clubs put their shows' winners in books or discs, which you can buy. Check-out the clubs here. We have put links to the award annuals under another posts:

The One Club This is one of the most respected ad clubs in the world. They are mostly known for their award shows, but they often show work in their space as well as have speakers. There are some benefits to joining, but by no means deccessary, so you might want to check them out. You can also just buy the award annual of winners.

YoungGuns Advertising Awards This is an award show for people under 30 (only one member of the team has to be) so this might be a fun thing to enter to show-off your stuff. This is not spec work- so it has to run, but might be cool.

Art Directors Club A prestigious club, who show-off work and hold events, as well as hold an award show, obviously with an emphasis on art direction. You can join or buy their annual of winners.

Young Pros This is the Art Directors Club organization for people under 30. You might want to check it out if they can help you.

Clio Awards A big global award show, no annual, but you can see who won on their site.

Archive Magazine's Student Contest A student contest that might be good to show off in.

D&AD A British, yet international, ad club and award show. One of the most respected shows.
